About
Breathe Through HG is a non-profit organization founded in 2023 by the Maeshack family, driven by their personal experience with Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) and the shared experiences of women and families alike. Breathe Through HG is committed to providing compassionate guidance, educational resources, and community connections to women navigating the complexities of HG. Despite research advancements, the cause of HG remains elusive, recent research suggests the potential involvement of the hormone Growth and Differentiation Factor 15 (GDF15), shedding light on this debilitating condition. Tanetta's relentless struggle with severe nausea and continuous vomiting, necessitating frequent hospitalizations for IV fluids and nutrient-rich banana bags, revealed the profound impact of HG on her physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, as well as that of her entire family.
No one expects to battle Hyperemesis. We believe no woman should navigate this journey alone. Although we can not make the condition disappear, we aim to support women throughout their pregnancy until they experience the precious moment of baby's first breath.
